ABOUT
ARCANACON 40K ++
This site is about the
40K tournament held annually at Arcanacon, a long running games
convention held at the Collingwood College in Melbourne, Australia.
Arcanacon 40K is a funky,
friendly event which is not a win-at-all-costs tournament, but a
few enjoyable battles among friends. Some people get some
prizes, sure, but what the hell, we are just there to have a blast.
We
have some laffs, listen to some fine death metal sounds and make
some WAR!
The main 40K tournament is to
be held at Arcanacon on Sat
24 and Sun 25 Jan 2009. The judging
encompasses all aspects of the hobby: Game
Play, Sportsmanship,
Army Painting &
Army Selection.
There is plenty of additional action. Saturday night
is Grudge Night, and there will be a barbie, plus
the annual WATT vs. GW grudge match The Golden Fez. Monday is
Arcanapocalypse
event, a mega 40K bash using the Apocalypse rules. Trade stands over the weekend include the legendary
Secondhand Sunday
tables, and kick-arse basing company

also plan to make a return with their excellent range of scenic bases.
We also hope to have wares from
CnC
Workshop and
Purple Mantis available.
